With the UK experiencing a mini heat wave, in the summer, Eatosi has been busy eating ice lollies and trying to not go over the top with BBQ food; we’ve been unsuccessful. Well, time for another week of food glorious news… see what we did there?
1) 2 Is Company, 3 Is A Crowd, Going Solo Is Still Weird?
You’ve possibly made plans with friends and at last minute they’ve fallen through, or you just decided that, eating at a restaurant by yourself is something you want to do. Some people don’t even have the choice, we’ve all been there once or twice. Well, The Independent has decided to analyse restaurant loneliness, bless.
2) Incase You Haven’t Figured It Out By Now
If you, like the Eatosi team, find it annoying when the Government gets involved by telling you to drink ‘more water because it’s hot’ then this obvious article may annoy you. “How to eat: Crisps”
3) Ice Ice Baby!
It’s hot. Have we mentioned that already? Well, it’s hot, and you have a can/bottle of your favourite drink and you discover its warm. Room temperature warm. Eurrggh! So this life hack is going to be your salvation. Trust us, it really is. In 2 minutes turn your drink from room temperature to ice cold. It has everything to do with thermodynamics.
4) Don’t Share Your Food At Your Own Peril
Apparently, being greedy isn’t good. As this is a food lovers and storytellers blog, we’re concerned. If you’re greedy, it can lead you to being put off your favourite meal. Adversely, if you don’t like a food that could possibly save your life like, vegetables, then you can re-program your thought process the opposite way to greed to then enjoy the cholesterol destroying good stuff!
5) Le Grand Smugness
A French man walks into a British supermarket and… decides he actually likes the food and instead of ridiculing it due to cultural ignorance purchases loads of the stuff, and takes it home with him. The thought of a gastronomic master eating a tin of baked beans should make you smug in some weird way. This article from The Telegraph really does say it all.
